Victory Days Hangar Dance

On Friday and Saturday evenings, following the days’ events, Victory Days will host dances in an airport hangar.

If you love the big band sound of the 1940's, please join us at the Victory Days Hangar Dinner Dance (held in the spacious Sort Facility at the airport) on Friday night, Oct. 3.

After an elegant sit-down dinner, entertainment will be provided by the Stardusters, a big band playing the enormously popular music that made names like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Tommy Dorsey famous. The Sisters of Swing will energize the night with their 1940's girls group.

In addition to the great food, great music, and dancing, there will be both a silent and live auction featuring a variety of items, both large and small. Jack Christy, of Christy's of Indiana, Inc., will serve as auctioneer, and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross.

The cash bar will open at 6 p.m., with dinner starting at 6:30 and The Starduster beginning at 7:30. Period dress is optional.

Ladies, parking is available for everyone at the front of the Sort Facility, so you don't have to worry about walking on grass whether you're wearing 2008's stillettos or the chunky heels of the stylish 1940's!

Come and cut a rug with us at the Victory Days Hangar Dance! You won't be sorry!.
